Istana Singapore

The Istana (‘palace’ in Malay), one of The Lion City’s oldest heritage sites, is the official residence of the President of the Republic of Singapore. The building was finished in 1869 and has impressed all Singaporeans and city guests with its magnificent beauty, both inside and outside, for over 150 years already.

We should note that the Istana is much more than a building itself – it is also an oasis of greenery right in the bustling and hustling city with a boundless lawn, an enchanting garden, a beautiful pond, and many charming inhabitants. In general, the Istana is home to 260 plant species and diverse wildlife. All this realm of impressive architecture and lush greenery covers an area of 40 hectares. Yes, and you can admire this beauty and feel the spirit of the Istana on certain days when the Istana Open House takes place.

Istana Open House: Dates and Details for 2025

This year, the first Istana Open House, the Chinese New Year-dedicated one, took place on 2 February 2025. And the second one is coming! The next Istana Open House devoted to Hari Raya Puasa and Labour Day will be held already on 13 April 2025!

When it comes to Mother’s Day gift ideas, we want to pick up something exceptional. Something that can fully demonstrate our gratitude, devotion, and love. Something that will make mom feel like the happiest woman in the world.

We have some options and would like to share them with you. Let’s check The Ultimate Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2025 by BusyKidd.

Flower Bouquet

No doubt, a flower bouquet is the first thing that comes to mind. Nevertheless, this is not a banal present. Flowers are always about spring, life, and attention. Besides, the choice is extensive – from the ordinary bouquet to various hampers with fruits, sweets, champagne, etc. You can also choose a houseplant to make your home even more cozy and stylish.

Photo Session

A family photo session is definitely among the best Mother’s Day gift options. It is an excellent way to capture your happy family moments. That’s exactly what all moms are about – about creating and saving those precious moments. After all, imagine yourself sitting in a living room in 20 years with photos in your hands and lovely memories in your mind.

Firefly Photography Photo Studio offers several packages to choose from to make your family photo shoot for this Mother’s Day memorable.

Dessert Box

Mmmm, sweets. Of course, not ordinary but very special ones.

Crème Maison bakery has a wide selection of Dessert Boxes with handcrafted sweets. We should note that all bakes are crafted with a low-sugar recipe, so this won’t disrupt mom’s healthy lifestyle. Okay, maybe just a little bit.

By the way, you can also combine flowers and sweets in one box – this will make an impression. Moreover, it’s possible to customize the cakes for an additional charge.

Hotel Staycation

Shangri La Hotel family staycation

What about a family staycation at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort? The hotel has a suggestion you’ll love – the Rasa Family Fun ultimate experience. Enjoy the sun, sand, and sea – and lots of various activities for guests of all ages. Try kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, pedal boarding, and other water sports at the hotel’s private beach. Choose your perfect Rasa Fan activities at the pool and around the resort, or try them all. Besides, your kids will get access to the world of Nestopia, an open-air, action-packed play space.

Personalized Jewelry

Every piece of jewelry tells us the story of its owner, especially when it is personalized.

Love Hesed has many unique options, including photo lockets, photo charms, personalized name rings, alphabet and script name necklaces, engravable bracelets, and even more.

You can create a true masterpiece that will remind her of family always and everywhere.

Spa Day

What can be more relaxing, revitalizing, and rejuvenating than a spa day? At Aramsa ~ The Garden Spa, the treatment provided by the staff is amplified by Mother Nature. It is an exotic resort-like spa located in a natural setting where moms can care for their face, body, and mind. Choose among numerous variants of vouchers, including Bali Getaway, Aramsa Recharge, Inner Respite, and many others.

By the way, Aramsa ~ The Garden Spa also provides Body & Face Therapies for Kids aged 4 to 12. Nevertheless, be sure to let her spend this day alone and to herself. The result is going to be incredible.

Extreme

When talking about an extreme Mother’s Day gift, Singapore also has something to offer. For example, to fly at iFly Singapore. Whether you are a first-time flyer or a professional skydiver, you’ll enjoy flying in one of the world’s largest wind tunnels.

‘If only I had wings!’ We bet almost every mom uses this phrase in her day-to-day living. Well, iFly Singapore can’t give her wings, but they can teach her to fly.

Workshop

mother's day gift guide pottery workshop

Trying something new is always a great idea, especially when you are going through this with your nearest and dearest ones.

Urth&Phire is a dedicated and specialized pottery studio – a nice place to enjoy a family pottery class. Here, you can plunge into a relaxing atmosphere, get much inspiration – and create your masterpieces. Well, and have fun with kids, of course.

Skincare Set

Every mother deserves to be pampered and feel beautiful, regardless of age and number of kids. THEFACESHOP has many tools to provide this. What about a skincare set? Rejuvenating and protecting, firming and anti-aging, cleansing and moisturizing – it’s all about care. And every woman knows how to use all this as efficiently as possible.

Perfume

Perfumes are always among great Mother’s Day gift suggestions, especially the niche ones.

Maison de L’Asie is a luxury fragrance house that mixes classic notes with modern vision, France with Asia. You can choose from niche perfumes offered by the company (knowing your mother’s preferences) or order a gift set to let her choose her favorites.

By the way, Maison de L’Asie has an option for our occasion – Mother x Love scent that evokes feelings of nostalgia, comfort, and love.

Picnic on the Southern Islands

You can spend time together away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. You can admire the pristine nature. You can recall some precious moments of your life and plan a whole bunch of family dreams for the future. You can play some active (and not so active) games. After all, you can enjoy tasty snacks and drinks from your picnic basket.

What place to choose for a Mother’s Day picnic? Well, what about the Southern Islands? You can easily get there on a ferry from Marina South Pier (it’ll take 30 minutes). Only be sure to pack everything you need for a perfect picnic in advance.

Hair Treatment and Beauty Salon

Every mother’s hair also deserves its treatment. No, we’re not talking just about getting a haircut. We’re talking about something more – and Black Hair Salon is a place to do so.

With more than 20 years of experience, this salon offers scalp care treatment, hair care treatment, hair coloring and texturing services, along with Cut & Style services, of course. We suppose a Black Hair Salon Gift Card would be a great Mother’s Day gift idea. Well, and a reason for her to bring some changes to life.

Aerial Yoga

Yes, it’s probably hard to surprise anyone with yoga. However, what about aerial yoga? It’s becoming more interesting, isn’t it?

At Hale Yoga, you can combine traditional asana with the aerial arts. It is a very unusual way to improve your flexibility and balance, decompress the joints, reduce risk factors for heart disease, improve mental health, and have fun. And, yes, it’s beginner-friendly. Just relax and fly.

Weekend Travel

What about a family getaway on the beautiful island of Bintan in Indonesia? It’ll take you only 50 minutes by ferry to get there from Singapore – and you’ll have an unforgettable weekend in the charming Banyan Tree Bintan resort.

Here, you’ll find luxury accommodations, a wide range of dining options, family-friendly activities – and many things to do for every mom to feel happy.

This weekend is going to be exceptional.

Besides, you can write a poem or record a song for mom, have a romantic dinner, or even make lovely gifts by hand. We are talking about mothers, and the main things they appreciate are care, attention, and love. As well as being near their loved ones.

Protect moms and give them your sincere smiles every day regardless of the date on the calendar.
