Singapore National Day 2025
Sometimes called Singapore Independence Day, Singapore National Day 2025 is one of the most important and beloved Singapore public holidays. How old is Singapore this year? In 2025, the Little Red Dot reaches a vital milestone in its history – 60 years of independence. That’s why this year’s celebration actually lasts all year long, and we suppose you have already attended various events and enjoyed multiple activities dedicated to SG60. However, the culmination of celebrations will take place on 9 August 2025, when the Singapore National Day Parade will fill the streets of The Lion City with pride and happiness, and bright fireworks will light up Singapore’s sky.
Here are some facts about Singapore National Day 2025:
- Theme: ‘Majulah Singapura’, which highlights Singapore’s journey over the last 60 years.
- Song: ‘Here We Are’ co-written by Charlie Lim and Chok Kerong and performed by Charlie Lim, Kit Chan, and The Island Voices. This song is a homage to the people and spirit of the Little Red Dot.

- Logo: The Singapore National Day 2025 logo reflects our nation’s core, our diversity, resilience, mutual support, and constant movement forward together. It combines ‘60’ and ‘Go’ in one graphic symbol. Five shooting stars symbolise Singapore’s ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice, and equality. However, this year, the NDP logo is truly unique, as it serves as a canvas for 25 incredible life stories by 25 Singaporeans – artists, athletes, educators, and others.
- Celebrations: As you might guess, in 2025, Singapore will take its National Day celebrations to the next level. The NDP canvas will be expanded beyond the historic Padang to the surrounding Marina Bay and skyline. The next day, on 10 August 2025, the holiday will continue with Heartland Celebrations. And this is just a tiny part of all the Singapore National Day activities for kids and adults.
- The Fireworks: Yes, it is the most-awaited part of the Singapore National Day celebration for kids, and we know great spots to admire the fireworks this year.
Of course, we will gladly share all the details on the Singapore National Day’s highlights, NDP rehearsals, NDP tickets, and other information with you. Are you ready?

- ‘Our Strength, Our People, Our Future’. It is a theme of the Mobile Column segment, which will return to Padang for the 1st time since 2019. It will be a combined drive-pass of air, land, and maritime assets from the SAF, Home Team, and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. Besides, it will be integrated with an aerial flypast over Padang and a maritime display at the Bay – for the first time ever.
- The Show. This segment will include four Acts, each inspired by a verse from Singapore’s National Anthem. An incredible line-up of local artists will present their amazing creations that cannot but unite and inspire.
