What is your childhood about? We suppose this period of life has different colours and sensations for everyone. However, childhood is always about happiness and carelessness. About family and friends, summer and blue sky, ice cream and a merry-go-round. Probably, it is the time that almost each of us would like to re-live. Well, BusyKidd invites you to take a little trip to your childhood and look at this period through new lenses at ChildISH, a world of art and poetry.
ChildISH is inspired by the Learning Gallery at the Singapore Art Museum. It stems from childhood and is closely related to the artworks from the SAM’s Learning Gallery, which opened for visitors in July 2024.
ChildISH is a playful and interactive exhibition that started at Punggol Regional Library and will move to Tampines Regional Library, Woodlands Regional Library, and finally, Jurong Regional Library one by one.
Read fascinating poems by local poets Amanda Chong, Hamid Roslan, Pooja Nansi, Charlene Shepherdson, and Daryl Qilin Yam. Admire a beautiful artwork by local illustrator Tan Zi Xi and students from Ang Mo Kio Primary School, which complements each poem.
All this evokes heartwarming feelings and inspires. You’ll understand that childhood is much closer than it seems. It’s going to be a memorable adventure.
ChildISH welcomes visitors of all ages. Admission is free for everyone.
