Minion Land in Singapore

Minion Land Singapore is a bright universe of fun and exciting adventures with everything Minions-dedicated, including thrilling rides, incredible installations, carnival games, dining venues, and great shopping opportunities. And this is just the beginning! The Minion Land is an immersive three-part journey through the colourful world. And who runs this world? We suppose the answer is obvious! Minions, of course!

You can find Minion Land, a real haven of cute yellow creatures, within Resorts World Sentosa on the island of Sentosa. Together with Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, and Far Far Away, Minion Land is part of the most popular themed park, Universal Studios Singapore on Sentosa Island. It is the latest addition to everyone’s beloved movie-themed park – and it’s a must for all fans of the Despicable Me franchise, active families, and thrill-seekers.

Minion Land at USS opened to guests on 14 February 2025 (it replaced the former Madagascar zone). Yes, just a year ago. But the land has already proved to thousands of visitors that it is a place where you will return again and again. To get another dose of fun, excitement, adrenaline, and family memories. And don’t forget about bananas!

Minion Land is built around Illumination’s Despicable Me / Minions universe (it was easy to guess). The area is bright, buzzy, and packed with playful details. It is designed for easy fun – with photo zones for the coolest photos ever, snacks that feel like part of the story, great shopping opportunities, brilliant entertainment, and, yes, attractions that work well for mixed-age families (you’ll see it for yourself in the Universal Studios Singapore Rides List section).

Minion Land Singapore works best for preschoolers to tweens. Plus, for their grown-ups, who are happy to be the official photographers, Universal Studios Singapore map holders, and snack providers. Of course, there are plenty of exciting activities and attractions for adults as well. So, actually, Minion Land ensures fun for everyone.

Minion Land Singapore offers a fascinating mini-adventure inside the bigger park. It has three distinct areas – so it feels like you are exploring, and not just queuing. Even non-riders have plenty to do with Minion Land’s mix of snacks, shops, and meet and greets. Besides, get ready to experience many dance-y entertainment moments. Even if you do not like to dance, it is pretty hard to refuse, guaranteed!

Where is Minion Land Singapore? What age is Minion Land Singapore for? Why is Minion Land a must-visit destination for families? Now we know the answers to those questions. Next, we invite you to break it down area by area.

Minion Land Themed Zones

Illumination’s Minion Land in Singapore consists of three themed zones, each with its fantastic attractions and family-friendly things to do. It is like a three-part mini adventure – so it is easy to explore with kids, even if you are here only for a couple of hours. Let’s take a virtual tour of the three areas.

Gru’s Neighborhood

This is where the Minion Land’s story really begins. You are stepping into Gru’s world with that ‘secret lab’ vibe in every detail – even in the air. Gru’s Neighborhood is a welcoming place where Gru and his family live, experiment, invent, and have fun.

The zone is home to the big headline attraction – Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. Get ready to ride through Gru’s supervillain laboratory and see with your own eyes many secret processes. By the way, does anyone want to turn into a Minion?

Expect excited kids and lots of laughter in the neighbourhood. And get ready to take dozens of bright pictures.

Super Silly Fun Land

It’s carnival time! Super Silly Fun Land, with its first-ever Minion dance party-themed carousel, Silly Swirly ride vehicles, the Super Hungry Food Stand dining venue, and a vibrant atmosphere, is a place to experience endless fun, play classic carnival games, sing, dance, and try delicious treats.

It is a nice place to start your child’s acquaintance with rides, as this zone often feels the most ‘friendly-fun’ rather than ‘big-ride intense’.

Minion Marketplace

It is a bright area to enjoy strolling, shopping, dining, taking cool pictures, and creating precious family memories. Be sure to visit Fun Store, a research and development shop with cute accessories and toys. Check out the Pop Store with stylish fashion items and the latest trends with a Minion touch. Don’t miss the most colourful and tasty Sweet Surrender store with Minion-themed apparel, plushies, sweets, souvenirs, and even more.

Even if you are not planning to buy something, this zone is great for a leisurely stroll – and for letting the kids point at everything.

  • Useful Tip for Parents: Keep the Universal Studios Singapore Map open while you explore so you can hop between the three areas (and other parks of Universal Studios Singapore) without unnecessary detours. Besides, we highly recommend that you use the Universal Studios Singapore rides list to check details and height requirements for each ride – to avoid unnecessary queuing and your little ones’ disappointment, if they are not allowed to a certain ride because of age or height.

And now that you know what each zone is about, let’s get practical and zoom in on the Minion Land’s thrilling rides.

Universal Studios Singapore Rides List – Minion Land Rides

If you are visiting Minion Land inside Universal Studios Singapore with your young adventurers, these three attractions are the core trio most families plan around.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem

This one is definitely at the top of Universal Studios Singapore rides list in the universe of Minions. It is an indoor motion-simulation ride where you are pulled into Gru’s world. Join Margo, Edith, and Agness – and the Minions, of course. Explore Gru’s lab. Enjoy surprises and playful Despicable Me humour at every turn.

  • Height tip for parents: kids 102-122cm must ride with a supervising companion. So, the ride is great for many primary-schoolers, but still needs adult support.

Buggie Boogie

Think of this one as an exhilarating carnival carousel with Minion-style music and an electrifying festival vibe. The ride is sheltered, so parents will appreciate it when the sun is doing its thing.

If your kids are a bit nervous about bigger attractions, this seated spinning ride will become a friendly ‘warm-up ride’.

  • Height tip for parents: children under 122cm must be accompanied by a supervision companion.

Silly Swirly

This is the outdoor spinning ride that lifts you up for breezy views over Super Silly Fun Land. A nice option to take a break from the boiling life below.

  • Height tip for parents: guests under 92cm can’t ride. Little ones 92-122cm need a supervising companion. Hand-held infants aren’t permitted.

Many families find it the best plan to start with Buggie Boogie, then move to Silly Swirly, and finish with Minion Mayhem as the ‘main event’. Use the Universal Studios Singapore map to find the nearest toilet or snack spot before you commit to a longer queue. And a quick peek at the Universal Studios Singapore ride list will help you decide what else to pair with Minion Land later in the day.

Now that we’ve already checked the Universal Studios Singapore rides list, it is time for the part kids often remember as much as the attractions. We are talking about the brilliant Minion Land entertainment – from spectacular entertainment to dancing with your favourite characters.

Minion Land Entertainment

One of the nicest parts about Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore is that it’s not just rides – Minion Land in Singapore has little but exhilarating ‘street moments’ that turn a good visit into a core memory. Especially for kids (and their grown-ups) who love characters. These shows and meet-and-greets happen throughout the day and elevate your experience even higher.

Minute of Minion Mayhem

This is exactly that very same moment when everybody is dancing. Regardless of age, interests, status, or training level. Margo, Edith, Agnes, and the Minions pop up and take over Minion Marketplace with upbeat moves and big energy. It is short, lively, and perfect when kids need a break from queues – or when you want a fun family video to remember this exciting moment. And to elevate everyone’s mood, of course.

Minion Dace Party

There is never too much dance. And this dance party is exactly what it sounds like: music, silly moves, and cute yellow creatures encouraging everyone to join in. Even shy kids often warm up after 30 seconds of watching other children dance first.

Meet and Greets

If your kids love character photos, Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore makes it easy with exciting Meet and Greet sessions:

  • Gru and Lucy – sincere laughs, quick poses, and lots of cool photos with the world’s loveliest couple.
  • Despicable Me Family Portrait – a family photo you can’t miss. Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, Agnes, and the Minions – all came here for a proper ‘everyone together’ moment. And for the best family portrait.

And after all that dancing, singing, and posing, a very important question arises. Ok, where can we eat here? To recharge the batteries before we continue our adventure. Don’t worry! The choice of dining stops in Minion Land Singapore is diverse. Let’s check them out right away!

Minion Land Dining Venues

Have you already enjoyed the rides, dances, songs, and photo stops? Well, now is the moment when kids suddenly announce they are starving. The good news is that Minion Land Singapore has several easy, family-friendly spots for delicious USS food – from quick snacks you can eat on the go to proper meals.

Super Hungry Food Stand

This is Minion Land’s main dining spot, and the best option if your family wants a ‘real meal’ break, and not just snacks. The menu is packed with themed items inspired by the movies. Supper Silly Veggie Burger, Stuart’s Japanese Curry Karaage, Unlucky Ducky Creamy Chicken Stew – this sounds (and tastes) fun enough for kids, but still practical for hungry adults. A choice of finger-licking themed desserts is available as well.

Ice-Cream Stand

Of course, no joyful family day out is complete without ice cream! An ice cream stand is ideal for cooling down and uplifting everyone’s mood even higher. It is right near the action, so it works well as a quick stop between rides and shows.

Pop-A-Nana

A fun, easy snack option for kids who want to munch while walking. Pop-A-Nana offers Minion-inspired popcorn flavours that are easy to share while you explore Minion Land.

Have you refuelled? Great! Did we mention this is still not the end of your adventure in Minion Land? There are also thrilling carnival-style games that are an integral part of this fascinating story – and a fun break from ride queues.

Minion Land Carnival-Themed Games

You’ll find these games in Super Silly Fun Land, where the whole area has that bright, seaside-carnival energy.

Ba-Na-Na CaBaNa

A great option for younger kids: the rules are easy to understand, and it is quick (no long wait). You have to flip a banana and try to land it in a coconut pot to earn a reward.

Space Killer

It is a classic shooting booth themed after the ‘Super Silly Space Killer’ game from Despicable Me. Perfect for school-age kids and competitive adults. Aim for targets – and win prizes.

And once everyone has had enough fun, you’ll probably hear the next classic question: ‘Can we go to the shops now?’ So, let’s head to the shopping venues of Minion Land to complete our shopping mission.

Minion Land Shopping Venues

For many kids, shopping in Minion Land is like an exciting ‘final mission’ they just can’t skip. So, it’s time to find a real treasure!

Sweet Surrender

It is a bright candy-themed store with a giant jawbreaker vending machine above the store. Inside, you will find loads of themed goodies like apparel, plush toys, homeware, and sweet treats. It’s almost impossible to leave this place empty-handed.

By the way, Sweet Surrender is a nice spot for cool pictures as well.

Pop Store

If your kids (or you) love wearable souvenirs, Pop Store is the fashion stop. Here you can shop for modern, street-art-style Minion designs, with items like T-shirts and accessories.

Fun Store

Fun Store offers toys and accessories galore. The right choice for kids who want something playful (that is, for all kids).
