It wasn’t that long ago that if you wanted some groceries, you’d have to visit one of the big supermarket chains in person and carry back your purchases on foot or in a car. However, in the last 10 years there’s been an explosion in the number of online providers through which you can buy your grocery products in Singapore – and best of all, you get delivery direct to your door. In fact, there are now so many that it would be almost impossible to mention them all so here, in no particular order, are BusyKidd‘s 19 favourite grocery delivery services that serve households across the nation.
Redmart-Lazada

One of the trailblazers for online grocery shopping in Singapore, Redmart (officially Redmart-Lazada) has been delivering since 2011. This online supermarket offers everything from cleaning products to party supplies and you get free delivery on orders above $60 (or $40 for LiveUp members). One special feature is that you can amend your orders after you’ve placed them, as long as they haven’t already started packing your order.
Fairprice

As one of the more budget-priced grocery stores, Fairprice can be a great online portal for doing your weekly shopping. As with Redmart-Lazada, orders over $60 are delivered free. Fairprice stocks everything most you could need and it even has seasonal product offerings, including for festivals such as Hari Raya.
Cold Storage
Generally regarded as a premium provider of groceries, Cold Storage was the first major supermarket in Singapore when it opened its doors in 1903, nearly a century before the first online retailers. Nowadays Cold Storage has an easy-to-use online portal that covers almost every product from beer to organic vegetables. Deliveries for orders over $80 are free.
Open Taste

Open Taste is a grocery store that is so confident about the freshness of its foods that it offers a money-back guarantee. One of its taglines is ‘picked yesterday, packed at midnight, delivered this morning’. Open Taste works directly with growers and offers fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy, seafood, snacks, and even alcohol. Delivery is free for orders over $100 unless you’re a premium member in which case free delivery starts at orders over $49.

Another online grocer that prides itself on its fresh produce, Little Farms works with independent suppliers and farmers across the world. Its website is easy to navigate and even allows you to search by diet type. Delivery is free for orders over $100.
Avo & Co.

If you want to buy fresh fruit and vegetables but don’t want the hassle of thinking what to order, Avo & Co. offers a subscription service that delivers weekly boxes of seasonable produce. You can also add on non-plant products such as hormone-free chicken and sustainably-produced eggs. Delivery is free with the subscription service.
All For you
Generally regarded as a budget supermarket retailer, Sheng Siong has an online portal called ‘All for You’ where customers can shop from its wide range of goods. One special feature is that you can choose to support local providers by ordering eggs and other produce that are sourced from within Singapore. However, a downside is that All for You does not yet deliver to all areas of Singapore.
Le Petit Depot

If you’re a big fan of French produce, this website will be like an Aladdin’s cave for you. Le Petit Depot is an online grocer that specializes in all things French, from fresh cheeses to frozen pastries and fresh steaks. Le Petit Depot offers free next day delivery for orders above $100.
German Market Place

Alternatively, if it’s all things German that you crave, German Market Place has got you covered. As well as foods it stocks German toiletries and even has a section for products from its neighbouring country, Holland. Make sure you order in bulk though, as customers have to pay for deliveries under $150.
Scoop Wholefoods

However, orders can be submitted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be delivered in times as short as 30 minutes.
