Botanical Art Gallery

The Botanical Art Gallery, located in the historic Gallop House No. 7 (Inverturret) built in 1906, is Singapore’s first permanent display of botanical art. It showcases over 2,000 botanical paintings, sketches, and photographs from the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The gallery features rotating exhibits, including the current ‘Capturing Nature Exhibition.’ Visitors can also participate in hands-on activities and enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding forested areas from the activity room. The artworks, including pieces by early botanical artist James the Alwis and contemporary artist Waiwai Hove, are displayed strategically to ensure preservation.
