What is Ranger Buddies @ PLQ Parkside

Ranger Buddies is a one-of-a-kind experience where children become young heroes, embarking on global missions to tackle real-world environmental challenges. Set up as a special outpost at PLQ Parkside, the adventure is designed to take kids (and their families!) on an epic journey across continents, all without leaving Singapore.

Over the next two years, eight different missions will launch at PLQ Parkside, each themed around a different continent and environmental issue. Every quarter, a new mission unlocks, giving families a reason to return and continue their journey as Ranger Buddies.

Who Can Join

The experience is tailored for children aged 4 to 10, but parents and siblings are welcome to join in the fun. Admission is free, making it a fantastic family outing that’s both budget-friendly and packed with value.

How Does It Work

1. Start at the Ranger Buddies Treehouse. Your adventure begins at the Ranger Buddies treehouse in PLQ Parkside. Look for the mailbox and scan the QR code to receive your first mission briefing. This is where your journey as a Ranger Buddy officially kicks off.
2. Use the Ranger Buddies App. The Ranger Buddies app is your guide. It leads you through a series of physical and augmented reality (AR) activities, blending real-world exploration with digital challenges. Kids will solve puzzles, complete obstacle courses, and take part in AR games that “teleport” them to faraway places like the Himalayas-all while learning about pressing environmental issues.
3. Complete Mission Activities. Each mission is made up of several activities. For example, in the first mission, “Trouble on Everest,” kids investigate why a Himalayan village is flooding, rescue endangered red pandas, and help clean up the area. Activities are hands-on and interactive, designed to teach kids about conservation, teamwork, and eco-friendly habits in a fun, memorable way.
4. Collect Rewards and Badges. After finishing a mission, head to Jimmy Monkey Café at PLQ Parkside to redeem your exclusive mission badge. Collect all eight badges over the two-year series and earn a special Ranger Buddies vest-perfect for showing off your eco-hero status!
