Altro Zafferano

Craving a delightful Italian feast? You’re in for a treat! Altro Zafferano is introducing a brand-new a la carte menu, embracing seasonal vegetables, mushrooms, honeyed fruit, and the finest catches from the Mediterranean Sea. Executive chef Andrea de Paola interprets the menu through the lens of southern Italy, blending flavors inspired by the region’s rich history and stories.

For the ultimate experience, we recommend the four-course Experience menu (S$148). Choose a starter, pasta, main course, and dessert, and enjoy it 43 floors up with stunning city views. The aquarelle risotto, topped with scallop crudo and sea grapes, is a hearty dish bursting with ocean flavors. The scampi tortelli is a light option with a fragrant mushroom tea. Feeling like a bit of extravagance? Treat yourself to something special and consider splurging on the Santoku Wagyu striploin.

The show’s star is the house-made tagliolini with Piedmont white truffle shavings (a surprise off-menu item). The thin pasta is coated in a creamy sauce that’s delightfully salty without being overwhelming. Don’t forget the thoughtful wine pairing for each dish you choose. Wrap up your meal with a drink or two in the alfresco area to soak in the views. Cheers!

Lo Quay

If you’re exploring new Vietnamese cuisine, Lo Quay is a spot that might catch your eye on Google. Tucked away on Amoy Street in a shophouse, this restaurant goes for a low-key vibe. You even have to ring a doorbell to get in! Once inside, the ambiance is moody and stylish, with AI-generated artworks for sale on the walls.

Forget the regular menu and choose the Discover menu (S$138+), available for dinner from Monday to Saturday. It mirrors chef Qunyh Brown’s take on modern Vietnamese cuisine. The starter includes seven snacks like wagyu tartare, oyster with caviar, and scallop and ikura in a pate choux. The banh mi Wellington adds a cool twist with glazed puff pastry and pickled Japanese cucumbers.

The fried jackfruit with tomato surprised everyone at the table. It tasted nothing like the fruit! It’s a unique experience that requires a moment to process after each bite. Move to the pho bo (beef noodle soup) for a flavorful combo of beef broth, wagyu, and offal bits. Now, onto the main dishes—perfect for sharing among three people. Choose from lamb, sea bass, duck, or wagyu. The whole sea bass, served with tangy citrus salad, is flaky and homely—an absolute comfort.

For meat lovers, the wagyu steals the show with its tenderness and flavorful kick from the demi-glace. And, of course, the meal isn’t complete without dessert. Chef Qunyh transforms Vietnamese coffee into a crunch parfait with condensed milk and espresso sponge—a refreshing end to the dinner.

If you dine here, pair your meal with carefully chosen vintage wines (S$98+). The sommelier suggests them.

Chicco Pasta Bar

Simple and tasty food—that’s what you’ll find at Chicco Pasta Bar. Look no further if you want a place with a chill atmosphere and homemade pasta that won’t break the bank. Chicco Pasta Bar, run by Australian-Italian chef Drew Nocente, is our top pick for a casual meal, whether it’s a quick lunch with coworkers, a relaxed dinner with friends, or a laid-back first date.

Chef Drew takes pride in serving fresh pasta daily, offering varieties like conchiglie, rigatoni, and mafaldine. Almost half of the menu features signature dishes that are well-loved, and we agree after trying them out.

  • For a cheesy start, go for the fried mozzarella and basil (S$12) or the classic burrata (S$20) served on a bed of rocket leaves, cucumber slices, and melon chunks.
  • Then, indulge in some carb goodness with the fluffy focaccia slices (starting at S$10), generously topped with chorizo, zucchini, roasted pork belly, or fennel.
  • And, of course, you can’t miss the pasta! The carbonara (S$18) is our favorite—wonderfully creamy and tossed with guanciale, egg, and pepper, just as it should be.
  • Don’t forget to try the fresh and flavorful tagliolini with slipper lobster and bisque (S$24) and the fusilli with mushroom and nduja (S$20).
  • If you’re with friends, dive into the dinner-exclusive meaty mains like pork with roasted baby potatoes (S$24) or Australian grass-fed ribeye (S$28).
  • Finish your meal with the pistachio tiramisu and coffee mascarpone (S$12), a dessert worth capturing on camera as the rich, creamy layer cascades down the side.

Without a doubt, you’ll be back for seconds on everything.

Fantastic chance to try Omakase dining in Singapore. In the lively Keong Saik area, An Omakase stands out for its exceptional skills and commitment to getting the freshest, top-quality ingredients from around the globe. This includes A4 and A5 Japanese wagyu beef, Japanese lobsters, and China Dungeness crab. The restaurant’s star ingredient is uni, which is flown in from Tsukiji Market and used in every dish.

For lunch, choose between two menus (S$188 to S$288), and for dinner, there are three options (S$288 to S$688). Each menu promises a delightful culinary journey with the chef’s selection of seasonal nigiri. Prepare for a sensory delight that surpasses your expectations at every bite.

Imbue

Forget the street’s usual hawkers, cafes, and restaurants. Enter this modern European restaurant for a unique dining experience.

The cozy 38-seat setup includes a private room and a small bar for pre- or post-dinner drinks. Chef Lee Boon Seng from The Spot leads the kitchen, and the menu is a delightful surprise. It highlights Asian ingredients and sauces in a creative way that transforms the familiar.

Choose between the five-course Infuse menu (S$158) or the eight-course Simmer option (S$198). We opted for the latter with a five-glass wine pairing (S$98), and it was a joy.

Important note: Sit by the counter to soak in the peaceful kitchen activity.

The meal kicks off with three delightful bite-sized snacks. Even if you’re not a fan of oysters, the oyster mousse with citrus white soy, confit fennel, chopped jellyfish, algae powder, and sesame oil is a treat. The drunken chicken follows, flavorful with green Szechuan peppercorn oil, Shaoxing wine jelly, and a crunchy black sesame crisp. The century egg crab is a visual delight, crowned with Kaluga hybrid caviar. Each subsequent dish surpasses the one before, from the ginko nut, cream, and kelp powder egg custard to the dry-aged horse mackerel with 30-year-old tangerine oil.

The star of the show? Malai bread is a fusion of ma lai gao (sponge cake) and bread. Light and fluffy inside, glazed with malt molasses for a beautiful crust and sprinkled with sea salt and thyme. Served with salted butter infused with honey and ginseng powder, it’s downright addictive. It’s so good that it’s on the a la carte menu, tempting you to return.

Wrap with a strawberry sorbet palate cleanser, a yuba pavlova with sesame oil-infused sponge cake, and petit fours. Leave the door happily stuffed.

Get ready for a delicious adventure with Path’s fresh menu!

Executive chef Marvas Ng skillfully blends his French expertise with East Asian flavors, creating dishes inspired by his cherished memories. You can choose from four- and six-course menus, but we highly recommend the Expedition eight-course dinner (S$228+). And here’s the exciting part: wine pairing is available! You can opt for a flight of three glasses (S$88+) or five glasses (S$128+).

The culinary journey starts with Memories, featuring intriguing combinations like cherry tomatoes pickled in yuzu sauce and osmanthus tea shaped like a gel sphere. Watch for unique twists like the Japanese tai, reminiscent of deconstructed and elevated chicken rice. If you’re a fan of chili crab, the Shanghainese hairy crab roe is a must-try. The blend perfectly captures that familiar spicy-sweet sensation. Dive into the broth with the Spanish crystal bread—it’s a delight!

Save some room for the sweet treats. We loved the citrusy persimmon, torched with brown sugar and served with calamansi and pomelo pulp. Another standout is the red date longan, presented as a lollipop. With these innovative approaches, we can confidently say Path has truly outdone itself this time.

Exciting news for food lovers! A famous Hunan cuisine spot has opened its first international branch in Singapore. Grab your friends, secure a table, and get ready to savor genuine dishes. Watch for their top pick: stir-fried pork with juicy baby abalone and Hunan green peppers. This dish is served in a wok with a burner, ensuring it stays warm throughout your meal.

Another must-try is the pan-seared green chilies with century eggs and garlic. It comes in mortar, and you must work before digging in. Just pound everything, release the aromas and goodness, mix it up, and enjoy. If you’re a fan of fish heads, don’t pass up the steamed fish head with chopped peppers. The soy sauce and red and green peppers add a sweet and spicy kick to the freshwater fat-head fish.

Important note: Pair everything with rice. Don’t forget to order the Wuchang steamed rice with sweet potatoes and red dates. If rice isn’t your go-to carb, try the steamed shrimp with vermicelli and garlic. And after all those spicy delights, quench your thirst with their signature lemon tea. It’s a refreshing way to wrap up your meal.
