Did you know Marina Bay Sands is celebrating its 10th year of the charity festival? From 16 to 25 August, there’s a ton of fun and heartwarming activities to enjoy!

The festival kicks off with the ‘Scoops of Hope’ pop-up booth at The Shoppes, Basement 2, near Bacha Coffee. For ten days, you can sample 10 delicious gourmet ice cream flavours from places like Bread Street Kitchen, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Maison Boulud, and Waku Ghin. With exciting flavours like Kaya Toast, Mocha Fudge, and Soda Pop, you’ll want to try them all. All the proceeds go to charity, so you can indulge with a clear conscience!

From 23 to 25 August, head over to the Event Plaza. There, you can explore the ‘Giving Marketplace’ with its array of baked goods and handmade crafts, and enjoy live performances by local artists. Don’t miss the ‘Heartwork: Upcycling for Good’ booth, where you can turn plastic bottle caps into coasters or keychains. Again, all proceeds from this workshop will go to a good cause.

Plus, there will be special menu items at Black Tap, Yardbird, Origin + Bloom, and RISE exclusively for the festival.

The giants have arrived at Palawan Beach in Sentosa! Meet Little Lyn, Reef the Chief, Curious Sue, and Dreamer Dee—together known as the Explorers of Sentosa. These four incredible sculptures are crafted from reclaimed wood by the famous Copenhagen-based artist Thomas Dambo. Each sculpture took about 700 hours to build!

You can join the fun with an interactive online treasure trail map. Start by finding “breadcrumbs” that hold codes to help you uncover clues leading to the giant sculptures.

You might have heard of the term “7th Month” and wondered what it means. It comes from the Chinese term Qi Yue 七月, which refers to the 7th Lunar Month.

The 7th Month Festival has different names. Taoists call it Zhong Yuan Jie 中元节, but many just call it the 7th Month Festival. It’s also known as the Ghost Festival or Hungry Ghost Festival.

During this time, Singaporean Chinese follow their traditions and enjoy special food and arts.
