Sleeping Beauty, a beautiful ballet, perfectly captures classical ballet’s elegance, energy, and charm. The story starts with Princess Aurora’s christening, but a forgotten invitation to the wicked fairy Carabosse leads to a curse: Aurora will die on her 16th birthday by pricking her finger. The Lilac Fairy alters the curse, making Aurora sleep for a hundred years until awakened by true love’s kiss.

Sixteen years pass safely, but on her 16th birthday, Aurora pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep. The Lilac Fairy ensures the whole kingdom sleeps too.
