Dinosaur Odyssey at Resorts World Sentosa

Calling all dino-obsessed kiddos this December! You won’t need to fly to Japan to get up close with a T-Rex. Dinosaur Odyssey, the acclaimed live dinosaur spectacle by Japan’s DINO-A-LIVE, is making its international debut in Singapore, and it’s landing right at Resorts World Sentosa!

Forget everything you know about the usual dinosaur exhibits with animatronics standing behind a rope, or static displays you can only look at from afar. Dinosaur Odyssey takes a completely different approach – the dinosaurs actually move freely through the performance space alongside the audience. We’re talking blinking eyes, shifting muscles and realistic walking movements, all powered by DINO-TECHNE, a self-supporting mechanical dinosaur suit technology developed over more than 20 years by Japanese company ON-ART.

Across the approximately 70-minute non-verbal show, families will encounter 15 ultra-realistic, life-sized dinosaurs, including fan favourites like the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops and Stegosaurus, along with lesser-known species such as the Ankylosaurus, Utahraptor, Allosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Suchomimus and Dakotaraptor. The dinosaurs don’t perform alone, either. The whole spectacle is brought to life with music, dance, visual effects and theatrical touches like swirling wind, blooming plants and flowers, and even fish swimming through the scenes.

If watching from your seat isn’t close enough for your little dino fan, there’s an optional T-Rex Photo Experience add-on for $30, where guests can snap a photo with a massive 12-metre-long T-Rex. Spots are limited to 100 people per show, so if this is on your family’s must-do list, it’s worth booking ahead.

Doors open 60 minutes before each performance, and with around 3,000 seats available per show, the Singapore run is expected to welcome over 30,000 guests across its four-day season, making it one of the standout family entertainment events of the year-end school holidays!

Dino Pit @ KidsSTOP

Let’s begin our adventure with real archaeological excavations. Take your tools. Try to find and identify the different parts of the fossil in the Dino Pit at KidsSTOP. Kids will find out many interesting facts about dinosaurs and prehistoric reptiles and learn to work in a team during the excavations.

Besides, be sure to visit Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Gallimimus bullatus at Science Centre Singapore (in the Annexe Foyer).
