Funquatics 2024

On March 9th, SAFRA’s Funquatics 2024 will take place. This unique event is organized jointly by two organizations, Singapore Aquatics, and Yale Swimming Singapore, along with Aqua Fitness classes by Swimology. Naturally, it will be entirely dedicated to various water activities and aquatic sports! During the Trial Classes, you can learn the basics of swimming, try stand-up paddling in the calm swimming pool waters, engage in Flippa Ball, and loosen up with Aqua Fitness Trial by Swimology! By the way, the Flippa Ball trial will be led by the captain and vice-captain of the Singapore Women’s Water Polo Team, so don’t miss your chance to interact with professionals!

March On at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay’s Children’s Festival, running from March 6 to 17, 2024. Now in its fourth edition, the festival unveils specially curated immersive experiences crafted by local talents alongside international co-productions and presentations. This year, we delve into the themes of home, adventure, and the journey to maturity.
For children, home isn’t just a physical space but a realm of emotions and boundless imagination. It’s a place where they can explore, play, and dream freely. “March On” invites youngsters to contemplate the idea of “shelter,” exploring its myriad interpretations and forms through mesmerizing performances and interactive workshops. There’re a few progmammes needed to be introduced.
Caliban’s Island – a band of children, stranded by a shipwreck, embarks on a bold journey to undo a sinister curse that has turned grown-ups into peculiar animal hybrids. With the guidance of the mysterious sorcerer Prospero, they must procure four extraordinary ingredients from a mystical, enchanted island to concoct a potion of reversal. Caliban’s Island is an immersive theatrical experience where audience members assume character roles and drive the narrative forward by navigating challenging decisions and completing quests throughout Esplanade.
Next, embark on an exciting journey set in a future world shaped by climate change with Jungle Book reimagined. Follow a family’s quest for refuge in a modern city, where a child finds companionship among wild animals. Presented by Akram Khan, one of today’s most celebrated dance artists, Jungle Book reimagined is a captivating dance-theater production that offers a fresh perspective on Mowgli’s adventures through the eyes of a climate refugee. Jungle Book reimagined is a captivating and essential storytelling experience that should not be missed!
In Shining In Space Shining captures all her thoughts, emotions, and memories in her cherished notebook, which she shares with Star, her beloved stuffed toy companion. When an unexpected accident jeopardizes her precious notebook, Star springs to life with an intriguing proposition: embark on an enchanting intergalactic musical journey together! Through live orchestral music, captivating storytelling, and multimedia elements, accompany Shining as she crafts cherished memories, forges new friendships, and delves into the wonders of space!
